Chapter 2020; Page 1

We’re in the future now.

It’s the year 2020, but how?

It seems so surreal,

And some just can’t deal,

With being here right now.

I’m glad to have a New Year and a Fresh Start, but I was more interested in how I spent my last day of 2019. How did I want to end the year? Did I want to end it lamenting about how hard, difficult, challenging, and rough 2019 was? Will I have the same complaints at the end of 2020? Will it also be a shitty year and I’ll be counting on 2021 to make up for 2020? That wasn’t the case for me, My Kindred Spirits.

I ended 2019 focused on how I wanted to behave on the last day of the year that would carry me over the bridge from the old to the new. I ate a healthy breakfast; I made my bed; I went to a meeting; I filled my tank with gas; I put air in my tires; I was helpful to others; I used sage in my shop to remove any stagnant energy; I reveled when I heard it raining outside (I love the rain!); I sat and meditated; I journaled and took stock of all the highlights of 2019 including my 50th birthday and Kindred’s 4-year anniversary; I thanked Kindred Spirits Books & Gifts for a year of blessings, lessons, challenges, and victories. It was a great way to end a great year!

I got ready to host my annual workshop: New Year, New You – a Vision Board Intention Setting Workshop. I couldn’t wait to see what I had planned to manifest for 2020, and while I don’t have a detailed blueprint, I definitely have a comprehensive roadmap for how I want to celebrate my last day of 2020 – just as joyful and grateful as I spent the last day of 2019.
