I love incense. I’ve been burning it my entire life, from teenager to queenager πŸ‘‘ The swirling smoke ribbons that curl and twirl fascinate me. The amazing smell when it is burning but then the incredible smell that lingers after it has been burned in a room. And I always light a stick of incense during my meditation to help ground me in the moment with smell.

The first thing I most often hear when people walk into Kindred Spirits is β€œIt smells good in here!” and the inevitable follow-up question is: β€œWhat is it that smells so good?” And my answer to that is it’s a combination of all of the sage, candles, and incense that are available in here.

I love πŸ’–Love πŸ’– LOVE πŸ’– cleaning out a room or space and then inviting the clean smell of incense by lighting one of my favorite sticks. My favorites are Green Tea from MorningStar, White Sage by HEM, and Fizzy Pop by WildBerry Incense.

Whether it’s a finishing touch on a clean space, a reminder of the shop, or just to lie down and enjoy the peacefulness, calmness, and clarity of the space, when I open my incense drawer in my bedroom or my incense box in my meditation room, it instantly reminds me to slow down and connect with my spirit in the present moment.

Some of my other incense favorites are…

πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§ Cranberry, it smells lightly fruity and reminds me of connecting with family or loved ones

πŸ‰ Dragon’s Blood, an ancient resin used for hundreds of years in India, offers purification and protection

🌷 Lavender, has a warm, relaxing smell that may promote restful sleep if burned half an hour before laying down for the night

πŸŒ™ The Moon, smells light and fresh and can be used to connect to the moon at any phase and to honor the Goddess Selene

🌿 Mugwort has many medicinal uses, but the incense is used help cleanse magickal items

πŸ‘³πŸΎ Sai Baba, smells earthy and connects to the magical healing powers of the mystic from India

Smell, our oldest sense, reminds us of pleasant times, fond memories, and loving connections. These are just a few of the pleasing incense aromas that contribute our β€œKindred Spirits smell.”
